Last week of class

I can't believe that the last week of class is here already. We had our last civil procedure class of the semester yesterday and there is only one class to go in every other subject. I'm feeling extremely behind since I took the last week off to spend Turkey Day in Ohio -- sitting on the couch and watching TV seemed much more enticing than catching up on my torts reading. You don't realize how much material you go through in just one week until you miss a full weeks worth of classes.

On the up side, I'm pretty much on top of my outlines. I just have to memorize them and do some practice exams. I have a week and a half to do so, but I also have to send Christmas cards, organize the house, pay bills and all the other fun things you find to do besides school work.

Lastly, I have successfully obtained additional loans for the spring semester. I didn't take the max in the fall, so that meant I was able to increase my loans for the spring. I feel bad for the several students I saw in financial aid who had already borrowed the max and needed more. (The answer, of course, is tough luck. We don't care that your dog needed major surgery.)

In just a few weeks, I will be completely done with my first semester. Then all I need to do is send out dozens of cover letters and resumes, cause you absolutely need to have a law related job for the summer, or you'll never be successful, or so they say.
